We know what your trade gets caught by

    Construction and trades

Subcontractors, contractors and the companies that employ them.

The scheme takes tax off you before you have seen it, 20 percent registered and 30 percent not. For a lot of one person trades that means a sizeable refund sitting with HMRC every April, and we go after it the week the tax year opens.

    What we watch for

    • Deductions checked against your statements
    • Refund claimed as soon as April opens
    • Materials, tools and mileage claimed in full
    • Monthly returns filed, subcontractors verified
    • VAT reverse charge applied correctly
    • Gross payment status where it is worth having
    How it works

Four steps from first call to filed

    1

    A call, at no cost

Twenty minutes on what you do and what state the records are in. You get a fixed fee at the end of it.

    2

    Authorise us

A short engagement letter, and approval for us to speak to HMRC on your behalf.

    3

    We prepare

We work through your records, ask about anything unclear, and explain the tax in plain terms.

    4

    You approve, we file

Nothing goes to HMRC or Companies House until you have said yes.

    Making Tax Digital

    About us

A small practice, built for small businesses

We look after businesses too small to interest a large firm and too busy to do the work themselves. Incorporated in 2026, and we would rather say that plainly than dress it up.

    A fixed fee, agreed first

In writing before work starts. If the job grows we agree it with you, we do not add it to the invoice.

    Questions are free

A quick call about whether you can claim something should never cost you money.

    Nothing filed without you

You see the figures and the tax they produce before anything is submitted.

    Deadlines are our job

Tracking filing dates is what you are paying for. We chase you, not the other way round.

    What you can expect

    Our standards, in numbers

Same dayCalls returned within the working day wherever we can.
2 daysA written reply to an email query, usually sooner.
2 weeksAccounts drafted once we have complete records.
2 monthsHow far ahead we aim to file before a deadline.
    Questions

    Asked before people switch

Yes, and it is routine. You tell them you are leaving, we write for your records and clearance, and we take it from there. No need to wait for a year end, and no charge for the handover.

Common, and fixable. We work back through what you have, file in the right order and deal with HMRC on penalties. The sooner it starts, the smaller it stays.

Bank statements, sales invoices, purchase receipts and anything payroll related. Software is ideal, a spreadsheet is fine, a folder of photographed receipts still works.

Only if you want to. Most work runs on email, phone and video. If you are local to Chadwell Heath you are welcome by appointment.

Only if your self employment or property income is above the Making Tax Digital threshold. If it is, we set it up and file for you. If not, nothing changes.

A monthly standing order across the year, agreed in writing first. One off jobs are quoted and paid as a single amount.
